Emotive wins B&T Award for the Planet for Deep Rising: Don’t Mine What’s Mine.

On Friday night at the B&T Awards, Emotive was honoured with one of the night’s most meaningful recognitions, the B&T Award for the Planet for our work on Deep Rising, a global impact campaign to protect the deep ocean from the impending catastrophe of deep-sea mining.

The award acknowledges the campaign’s cultural and environmental impact through a feature documentary, and impact campaign rallying people around the world to safeguard the deep seabed (the lawful common heritage of humankind) via a carbon-positive blockchain-powered platform that enables everyone to reclaim a unique birthright certificate tied to one of 8.17 billion GPS coordinates across the seabed at risk.

Since launch, the campaign has achieved global traction, with thousands taking action at deeprising.com, and more than $2M in donated media committed by partners including Nine, ARN, JCDecaux and Mamamia, helping transform a documentary into a worldwide movement.
